The Manly Warringah Waratahs are delighted to announce that Mounties Group has re-signed as the Club’s Major Partner for a further three years, extending one of the longest and most enduring sporting partnerships on the Northern Beaches.
The new agreement will see Mounties continue as Major Partner through until the end of the 2028/29 season, taking an extraordinary relationship that began with Harbord Diggers in 1996 through to 33 years.
Mounties will continue to feature prominently across the Waratahs’ playing and training apparel and throughout the Club’s extensive digital and community platforms.
The partnership between the two organisations has grown enormously since it first began 30 years ago. What started as the support of a local community club has developed into a genuine long-term partnership built around shared values, loyalty and a commitment to the Northern Beaches.
Mounties has remained an integral part of the Club through a period of significant growth and success both on and off the field.
Waratahs President Andrew Fraser, who was on the Club’s Board when the relationship first began in 1996, said reaching 30 years together and immediately committing to another three years was something the Club was incredibly proud of.
“There are not many partnerships in community sport that can say they have lasted 30 years, let alone be looking forward to their 31st, 32nd and 33rd years together. Mounties and Harbord Diggers have been there for our Club through so many different eras, and their support has played an important role in helping us become the organisation we are today.
To have Dale and the Mounties team commit for another three years as our Major Partner is a wonderful endorsement of our relationship, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their continued support.”
Mounties Group CEO Dale Hunt said the longevity of the relationship reflected the strong alignment between the two organisations.
“We are incredibly proud to extend our partnership with the Waratahs for another three years. Over Thirty years of working together is a significant milestone and speaks volumes about the strength of the relationship between our organisations. The Waratahs continue to achieve outstanding results on the field, but just as importantly they understand the responsibility that comes with being part of the Northern Beaches community.”
“That community-first approach is something we share at Mounties Group, and we look forward to continuing to work together over the next three years.”
Mounties Group is a profit-for-purpose organisation with a long history of reinvesting into the communities in which it operates, with its purpose centred on improving the lives of its members. Across its operations, Mounties supports community organisations through grants and donations, sport, health and wellbeing initiatives, social inclusion programs and other community services.
On the Northern Beaches, that commitment is led by two iconic local venues — Harbord Diggers at Freshwater and Manly Bowling Club, located alongside Manly Oval — making the partnership with the Waratahs a particularly natural fit.
Harbord Diggers has been supporting the Northern Beaches community since 1930 and today remains one of the region’s major community organisations and employers, providing more than 250 local jobs and supporting local organisations, sporting clubs and community initiatives. Mounties Group contributes more than $1 million annually to community groups, while Harbord Diggers has also provided substantial local ClubGRANTS funding for programs supporting children, young people, seniors, families and vulnerable members of the Northern Beaches community.
Its support locally extends across organisations including sporting and surf lifesaving clubs, community services and charities, reinforcing the same commitment to the Northern Beaches that has underpinned its relationship with Manly Warringah Cricket since 1996.
The Waratahs are enormously proud to continue carrying the Mounties name into the next chapter of our Club’s history. From the beginning of the partnership in 1996, through the 30-year milestone celebrated in 2025/26, and now into years 31, 32 and 33, the relationship has become far more than a traditional sporting sponsorship.
It is a partnership between two organisations with deep roots in the Manly Warringah community, and we look forward to continuing to represent Mounties Group, Harbord Diggers and the wider Northern Beaches community with pride over the next three seasons.
