Waratahs, Smith, Watson and Manly Sea Eagles – T20 Double Header, Manly Oval Sunday 4th November

It’s that time of the year again when Big Bash cricket begins to infiltrate the minds and ingrain on the conscience.

On Sunday 4th November the Styleness Manly Warringah Waratahs will be hosting Sutherland at 10am and North Sydney at 2.30pm in a T20 Double Header at Manly Oval in a great local lead up to this summers Big Bash.

Come and see 2 of the best T20 players in the world in Sutherland’s Steve Smith and Shane Watson go head-to-head with the Waratahs at 10.30am. It’s sure to be a massive game and we are expecting a huge crowd to cheer on the Waratahs BBL stars Chris Green, Jay Lenton, Mickey Edwards, Steve O’Keefe and young gun Jack Edwards.

Following the match, the Waratahs will be playing North Sydney, a team filled with ex-Manly players including the Crosthwaite brothers in what will be a big grudge match. Both Adam and James left the Waratahs for North Sydney this season and will be looking to show their exquisite talent to the local crowd.

Of course, the usual trimmings will be on offer at Manly Oval for the entire day:

  • The first 6 caught in the second game between Manly and North Sydney will win their weight in 4 Pines beer
  • BBQ and bar will be running all day, with 4 Pines beer being the flavour of choice.
  • The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, fresh from their announcement of the Peninsula’s own Des Hasler as first grade coach, will have players signing autographs from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, as well as their membership tent on hand.
  • Ladies day at the Room at the Top above the change rooms at Manly Oval, starting at 2pm. We are expecting a huge crowd with all partners and mothers of our players entering for free. This is a private event that includes sponsors, members and volunteers.

Put it in the diary as the best local sporting event of the summer months. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
