Women 1st Grade confirmed for Manly Oval debut – Sunday 14th November

We are pleased to confirm that our first grade side will be making their 2021/22 debut this coming Sunday at Manly against Northern Districts.

The original draw did not have the side playing at home for the first 3 weeks. This didn’t sit well with the club considering the momentous occasion of their debut. As a result, after extensive discussions with CNSW, our PG’s and Men’s first Grade matches against Randwick-Petersham have been moved to start at 9.15 and 12.45 respectively. This allowed us to move the Women’s 1st Grade game to a 3.30pm start.

We would like to formally thank both the Northern Districts and Randwick-Petersham clubs for the flexibility in allowing the move. They have been fantastic to work with and very understanding of our desire to move the first game to Manly Oval.

What a momentous occasion it will be. To have a Women’s first grade side representing our area is something we dreamed of back when the Women’s program was started, and now we get to celebrate it in style.

It will be a big day for our club, and although we can’t do some of the things we would have liked due to the late notice, it is sure to be an emotional day for many.

Please make sure you come on down and celebrate grass roots cricket at its best. There will be plenty of talent on display, and hopefully we can show we will be competitive from the outset.

More information on the entire day will be coming shortly.
