Tahs Launch Waratahs in the Workforce Program

The Manly Warringah Waratahs are pleased to launch the Waratahs in the Workforce program.

The program is aimed at providing our playing group with contacts to help with all employment and work experience opportunities.

Manly Cricket is about a lot more than just what happens on the field. We do as much as we can to help and guide our players through life off the field and make sure they have access to all of our resources.

The “Waratahs in the Workforce” program is designed to do just that.

It connects players with various club contacts, whether they be sponsors, parents of players or supporters, who have employment or work experience opportunities to help gain a foot in the front door.

Each month our players will be sent a list of known roles that have been provided to the club, and if the player is interested in this role, the club will help with introductions.

Conversely if a player is looking for a job or work experiences, no matter what the industry, we will send the players CV details to all employer members of the Waratahs in the Workforce program.

While the expectation is that the employer will look favourably on a Manly Cricketer, it is still up to the individual to obtain the role themselves.

This is a brand new program released in 2018/19 that we are looking to expand in future years. This could potentially include ex-players.

Best of all, the program is free to join for all prospective employers.

If you are an employer that would like to join this program, please contact Player Welfare Manager Duncan Kerr at duncan.kerr@stevewaughcricket.com.au or 0412 240608. Duncan will be leading the program.

Business Manager Joel Mason is an alternate contact and he can be reached on joel.mason@manlycricket.com or 0478 319063.
